Qualifying Criteria
For the business to receive the grant, They must meet the following requirements,
* Minimum 1 year annual financial statement
* Business plan or detailed business profile
* 1 year in operation and trading with company registration documents
* Turnover of between R 250 000.00 - R 35000 000.00
* 51% black majority shareholding and certified id copies of owners
* VAT registration ( compulsory for companies with annual turnover of 1 million )
* 3 Quotations signed by supplier and service provider
* Valid Tax Clearance certificate
* BEE certificate
BBSDP is a coast sharing grant offered by the Department of Trade & Industry (DTI) to predominantly black owned enterprises to assist them in improving competitiveness & sustain ability.
Enterprises may apply for assistance to purchase:
- Advertising
- Tools
- Machinery
- Equipment
- Software
Cost structure
- 50% from (DTI) & 50% own contribution on machinery & equipment
- 80% from (DTI) & 20% own contribution for services such as advertising (radio, magazines, street poles, newspapers etc), branding, accreditations and training.
